Obviously, We Don't Know Our Wines

Well, y'all, we've had about 9 bottles of wine sitting in our dining room area since Christmas. I guess you could say we're not wine connoisseurs.

We bought several different types of red and white wine for a Christmas party we threw for our friends back in December. We even had champagne! Sadly, it's all still sitting here.

Well, almost all of it. As I sat here and typed this, I decided to taste a white zinfandel we have. It is good y'all! I may finish this bottle off tonight, ha!

When we go out for a drink, usually, my husband will get a craft beer. He enjoys Guinness the most. I will get either some type of fruity drink with rum or vodka or just go with beer. I am not a fan of many craft beers unless they taste like fruit, in which case, I can drink too many.

So, we aren't heavy drinkers but we do enjoy a night out now and then for a drink.

I can't speak much about things I do not know so this is just a short entry. If you know anyone (of legal age) in south Mississippi, who enjoys wine, send 'em over!  It'll be a party.

Nadine West Clothing & Jewelry Subscription Service

Y'all I am addicted to these subscription services!

I watched my friend Jen of Jen Luvs Reviews YouTube channel do an opening of Nadine West. And I jumped on the band wagon!

Here is a little about Nadine West:

A welcome from YOUR EXPERTS AT Nadine West
We're teaming together with you to do the impossible, to change the way you shop (or at least add a bit more fun to it!). With the power of the internet, we can now learn about you, send you custom outfits, and provide an easier, high-quality, and less-hassle method of shopping. We hope you love this service as much as we love providing it!

Step 1: You get one fashionable top or dress per month which will be based on choices in your style quiz found under the Getting Started section.

Step 2: You'll receive 2-3 pieces of matching jewelry per month, which means you'll often receive stylish earrings, bracelets, and necklaces based on your style quiz.

Step 3: Pieces will come from designs you've heard of and others you haven't! The fun is in the surprise and learning :)

Items cost between $9.99 and $29.99 each. Keep what you want. You have 2 weeks to send back what you don't want. Use the same envelope that the items came in, and use the included postage. You truly pay nothing for the return.

Today I received my first pink bag. I got 2 small bags. 1 with a pair of earrings and a pendant necklace, 1 with a pair of earrings. Then, wrapped in pink tissue paper was a top.

Check out my YouTube video here:

While I decided not to keep any of the items in this months bag, I am very excited to see what they send me next!

And She Reads

I'm a fangirl, a nerd, a geek. Call me what you will.

I'm a reader. I love books. I love getting into a story and forgetting what time it is. I can sometimes get so involved that I start dreaming about the book I'm reading.

I once woke my husband up by talking in my sleep. And when he asked what was wrong, I told him to be quiet because I was solving murders. Thanks Greg Isles!

Currently I'm reading Jodi Picoult's Nineteen Minutes. It's very sad so far but well written (of course). I recently finished her book My Sister's Keeper. Yes, I know that I'm way behind, what can I say?

But also recently I've become addicted to John Green. I started watching his videos on his and his brothers vlogbrothers YouTube channel. Then I found out he wrote The Fault in Our Stars. And I was like, well I should read that. Then I found out he wrote Paper Towns, and I was like, I should read that too! Now I'm an addict and there is no cure.

I have been a fan of Stephen King since I was a pre-teen. I know, I shouldn't have been reading that scary stuff. I can't help it! The man can write!

I like suspense/ thriller books. But I'm also a huge fan of Nora Roberts and Nicholas Sparks. Nora's books just come across as magical to me. Especially the Irish Trilogy novels. If you love Ireland, or the thought of it, check them out! And Nicholas Sparks, well I have read A Walk to Remember so many times I lost count. It was my first heartbreak, seriously, I cried for a week.

I also like the classics and sci-fi. Like I said, fangirl.

What kinds of books do you like?

Suggest some good ones for me to read next!

Favorite Everything

I love makeup, clothes, shoes, etc. Everyone knows that.

What about other things? Well, let me tell ya...

My husband and I are huge geeks! We are. We love all things Star Wars (we even had a Star Wars wedding). We both love sports, just not the same teams, but that's okay - friendly competition and all that jazz. He is into gaming and I enjoy it occasionally. I like to do arts and crafts. I'm learning to sew and I do the fun painting with a twist girls' nights now and then.

We are also big into the fandoms. Like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Sherlock. Now, together we watch the American TV show Elementary, but I am in love with the British version, Sherlock. Of course, I have to mention Marvel and all the loveliness that comes from those movies. (Thor, hello, gorgeous.)

Did I mention that we are addicted to Netflix? And we love going to see new releases in the theatres.

And what's my favorite thing to watch everything on? My Kindle Fire HD. My hubby bought that as a gift for me last year and I don't believe I've gone an entire day without using it at least once. I use it for YouTube, Netflix, HBO Go, and all my social media accounts. Which I check daily.

Now, we may not know anything about the Kardashians, and we don't really care. But if you ever need info on a certain fandom, just ask. If we don't know the answer, we will find out!

What kinds of things are you into? What kind of pop culture makes you happiest?

Get Fit! My Go To Gurus

I just wanted to talk a little about my fitness routine.

I am not obsessed by any means but I want to be healthy and I know to do that, I must get moderate exercise.

I try my best to work out 5 days a week. Sometimes I do more, sometimes less. It really just depends on how my week is going.

Recently, to get myself over a plateau, I started working out (short workouts) in the mornings before work, a lunchtime workout, and then some night time stretching. It has really helped!

These are my favorite workout gurus on YouTube:

Melissa Bender:
She also has a lot of workouts on her blog with breakdowns! She has really good energy and it's easy to follow along with her :)

They are a team who do videos. They also offer plans on their website for fees. I am not signed up. I do their quick workouts usually during my lunch break. Some of their videos even tell you how many calories you possibly burned while doing that particular workout!

I've actually been doing Jessica Smith's workouts for quite some time. They are low impact for the most part. She seems super nice and happy. I love her walking videos for a quick pick-me-up!

Tori Teaches Fitness:
I found Tori's website about a year ago. I really like her full length videos. She usually has good music to go along with them to keep you pumped!

And finally, Blogilates:
I just found this YouTube channel. But after doing 2 workouts with her, I know I will love it!

Please always remember that every workout is not the same for everyone. You should always consult a doctor before beginning a workout routine. Read all instructions/ disclaimers before doing any of these videos.

And most importantly, have fun!!

My 1st Trip to Ulta!!

Last weekend my husband was in his friend's was a wonderful weekend!

As we were traveling to the town the wedding would be in I saw a sign for another town. Flowood, MS.

I know that place! I told my husband there's an Ulta in Flowood, MS and I got really excited. He did not share in my excitement because he was in this wedding and didn't know if we'd have time to get to Ulta.

But Saturday morning there was a 2 hour break in the getting ready process and we hauled butt to Ulta! I was so happy! Like a kid in a toy store!! My husband just laughed at me but he came along.

I ran to find some items that I'd only found online but hadn't bought. I got the Nyx dewy finish setting spray, their Stay Matte Not Flat powder foundation, and an extra Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I was so worried about time that I flew by the Urban Decay section without grabbing anything. It's fine though, now I know where to go! Flowood is only a 2-1/2 hour drive LOL

Anyway, I thought I'd share my first time with you.

p.s. I used the Nyx stuff that night for the wedding and my face has never looked so complete! I'm very happy with my purchases.
