Birchbox ~ Cynthia Rowley Beauty Spring Collection ~ Full Review + Pictures

A few weeks back I signed up to be a part of the Birchbox blogging community called birchbloggers. Not only have I had the pleasure of blogging about the products I receive in my monthly subscription, I've had the opportunity to win products to review! It's all very exciting!

I entered into a Twitter contest for this Cynthia Rowley Beauty Spring Collection and was selected as 1 of 100 winners.

Here are my thoughts on the items, including pictures and links to the Birchbox website. (Not affiliate links)

Let's begin with the box it came in. It was gold with Cynthia Rowley Beauty stamped in black. It was all very pretty and classy looking! They also sent a note congratulating me on my win (someone has beautiful penmanship!) Inside the box was gold and white paper strips, along with a card telling me everything inside.

All of the items inside were also in gold and black packaging except for the neoprene cosmetics bag.

Items included in the box:
Cynthia Rowley Beauty Confetti Neoprene Bag - This bag is the perfect size to hold all of the items in the spring collection! Very travel friendly and durable.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeshadow Palette - No.2 - This palette includes pastels and neutrals; good for day and night looks. I was able to easily transform my Saturday shopping look into my Saturday night out look. Cotton Candy and Licorice have a slight sheen/ sparkle to them; Licorice more so. Confetti, Cloud, and Marshmallow are soft mattes. When dipping your shadow brush, you may kick up some powder but I found no fall-out once applied. I do suggest tapping your brush off before placing on your eye. The shadows are soft and easily blend-able. I always used a primer and with that, the shadows lasted throughout the day perfectly. Swatches are in natural light with primer.

The palette itself is a durable cardboard with a magnetic closure. It is wrapped in a paper design that matches the Confetti Neoprene Bag with a gold foil strip for the Cynthia Rowley name, of course, stamped in black. There is a mirror inside which makes it a very useful eyeshadow palette for travel.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Liquid Liner  - These liquid liners and so fine tipped. I had no trouble getting a precise line! I am talking precise to the point I could have gotten in between lashes! The colors are Black and Brown. They are bold, inky, and smudge-proof. You'd think as strong as the color is and the smudge-proof factor they'd be hard to clean off...not so! Wiped off easily with 1 swipe of a makeup wipe.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner - The colors available (at time of post) are Black, Silver, Charcoal, Sky Blue, and Violet. These are super creamy and glide on with no pulling. The are long-lasting, pigmented, smudge-proof and again, very easily removed.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain Trio - These lip stains are so very creamy! The are moisturizing and not at all sticky. They don't have the longest wear for a stain, but it does last. I suggest reapplying after eating and drinking. The pigmentation is great and these do not flake or cake as they dry. The only color that comes out more sheer on my lips than the tube makes it seem is the Tulip (a purple/ pink color). It almost looks duo-chrome in the tube. Valentine is a bright coral color and Sugar is a lovely pink. They each have a slight shimmer but no chunky glitter.

Also included in the collection prize were a pair of Rowley Eyewear sunglasses and CuRious Candy - a delicious chocolate bar that didn't last long with me!

All in all, I am so pleased with this set! I can get multiple looks from the palette, lip stains, and eyeliners. What more could I ask for?! Oh, chocolate, and I got that too!!

Stay tuned for face of the day's using this collection!!

L'Oreal Paris New Extraordinaire by Colour Riche ~ Review & Pictures

I was recently sent a full size L'Oreal Paris New Extraordinaire by Colour Riche lipstick to review. I was given the color 202 Coral Encore.

The packaging:
It's gold with the color of the lipstick on one side and on the top. It is more of a square than circle. Very nice, in my opinion.

The applicator:
The applicator is a short, almost doe foot applicator. It is soft but not quite the doe foot. It's a little longer as far as that is concerned but the entire applicator is shorter than a lip gloss.

The application:
I found this to glide on extremely smooth. It gives vibrant color and moisturizes the lips.

The color:
I found the color on the tube really represented the color in the tube. It has terrific pigmentation and shine. There are tiny glitters in the Coral Encore.

The wear test:
There is no claims (that I could find) that states this is a long wearing lipstick but it does last a good while before needing to be reapplied. The shine and color lasted about the same amount of time - a couple of hours.
As it wore off, I noticed tiny glitters on my lips. It wasn't big chunks, but noticeable at a closer inspection. This was easily fixed with reapplication of the lipstick.

Overall thoughts:
I was very pleased with the application and wear of this product. I can not speak for the other colors of the line, but this one was vibrant. My lips did not feel dried out as the product wore off. There was no stickiness as with some high shine lip products.
My only tip is to apply every 2 - 3 hours, as needed.

Now, for my thoughts on my June Birchbox!!

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain - This is very creamy and pigmented! It goes on so smooth and made my lips feel soft. It did not last as long as I'd expected even though it is a stain. I did have to reapply but it did not cake nor flake when it dried; my lips stayed soft even as it wore off.

Davines Oi All in One Milk - I have yet to use this. I am still pretty new at hair products (other than shampoo, conditioner, and heat protectant). I will have to update you on this. Please leave a comment if you'd like to know how it worked for me. Note that I have thick, fine, oily hair.

English Laundry Signature for Her 3.4 oz. - This smells like candy to me. And if you know me, you know candy is one of my favorite things in life!! So, yes, I'm in love with this perfume.

The Aloe Source Vitamin C Antioxidant Crème - I have used this for a week now but I honestly can not tell if it has made a difference in my skin. It isn't oily or greasy on my skin. It has a slight orange scent, but it does not last long.

Antica Famacista Bath & Shower Wash - I enjoy these as samples because I don't like using hotel body washes, I prefer to bring my own. So this will definitely come in handy for my next trip! It did not lather as much as I'd liked. This smells clean, but in my opinion, smells more like a man's body wash.

Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo - I have yet to use this. It has a nice scent. I will update you on this later as well.

Davines Love Smoothing Conditioner - I have yet to use this. It's scent is similar to the shampoo. I will update you on this later.

All in all, I was very pleased with this month's Birchbox! All the samples were deluxe sizes and I would use or gift each item. Definitely worth my $10!!

Do you get Birchbox? What are your thoughts on this subscription service? Let me know!

#PlayOn ~ Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Review ~ Influenster #GoVoxBox

I received the GoVoxBox complimentary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. See here: GoVoxBox Blog Post

While this is not my favorite item in this VoxBox, it is useful. It was a full box of the Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampons. And what girl can't use a box of tampons?

Here is what I think about this particular product:

They are tampons and they do what they were designed to do. They give a fair amount of absorbency but I did find that I had to change out more frequently than normal. This could also be due to the flow of my period (gross, sorry, but true). I find this brand only absorbs on the outside of the tampon; it does not open and absorb more in the middle. If you find yourself having a heavy period, you will need to change tampons frequently to prevent overflow. As far as being scented - I am not a fan of scented tampons.

I feel that if you are out playing sports or being very active, you will be hindered by the frequency of which you have to change tampons. Also, I don't think the scent helps but actually gives off a bad smell.

All in all, I appreciate that I received these tampons in my Influenster GoVoxBox, but I would not purchase these for myself.

Please know these are my personal opinions. I was sent these products to review and I feel I should be as honest as possible with my experiences.

#GoPROFOOT Review ~ Influenster #GoVoxBox

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a star!

I received the GoVoxBox complimentary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. See here: GoVoxBox Blog Post

While I have enjoyed all of the products in the box, I have by far enjoyed the PROFOOT products! Here's what I got from them:
Profoot Triad Orthodic AND Profoot Pedi RockProfoot Care@Profoot_Inc / #GoProFoot
First off, the Orthodic inserts are great for my everyday work flats. And that makes me so happy! I have the worst trouble not getting the support I need when I wear flats.....and I wear them a lot! So, I was so very pleased that these fit in the flats and don't make them too tight. No one wants their foot seeping out of their flats, am I right?

I did use the glue dot that came with them. However, I am still able to switch them from one pair of shoes to another with no problems and they are staying in place. That's great news!!

Last, but certainly not least, I have used the Pedi Rock daily! I love it! I love the way it fits into my hand, comfortably and naturally. I do not feel like I'm going to drop it, even in the shower. It can be used wet or dry! It gets the dead skin off the bottom of my feet and keeps my feet cuter longer! Can't get to the nail salon every week so this is great for that!!

Have you ever received a VoxBox from Influenster? What products are you in love with?! Let me know and don't forget to check out my YouTube channel for more reviews!

In Love With Another Man

It's not what you think. I am deeply in love with my husband but I am oh so crazy about Wayne Goss! If you wear makeup and do not know who Wayne is, please go check out his YouTube channel! His tips are AH-MAZING!

I have very oily skin and it doesn't help that I live in the humid south. I've watched Wayne's videos and some of his tips do not work for me, but most do. I now use the moisturize, prime, powder method nearly everyday. And it works wonders for my oily skin!

One of his most recent tip videos, he talks about doing that, then applying a mineral foundation, followed by a liquid or cream foundation. When I watched I knew I had to try it. And this morning my skin looks fabulous! My face has a slight, healthy glow.

I'm so in love with this man, y'all!

Please check out his videos: Wayne Goss YouTube

Not only is he hilarious, but he is from the U.K. (that accent though!) and he is a handsome fellow!!

While you're there, don't forget to check out my videos as well: ms_la_tn_grl

Thank you!
